Québec-Océan pools together the scientific activities of Québec’s main universities active in oceanography, and those of their partners in government and the private sector.

Quebec-Ocean brings the expertise of top researchers in the various disciplines of oceanography: physics, geology, chemistry and biology. This interdisciplinary approach enables ambitious research projects, student training, and knowledge transfer to the general public, managers and policy makers.
