Coriolis II

The Coriolis II, a 50 m multipurpose vessel, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, is dedicated to teaching and research in ice-free marine environments. It can be used as an oceanographic vessel or for tracking and buoying or in the fight against pollution. The ship and its scientific equipment belong to UQAR and are managed by REFORMAR.

CCGS Amundsen

The CCGS Amundsen is a 98 m icebreaker, Arctic class 3, with a double purpose. On the one hand, it is used for icebreaking seaways in winter. On the other hand, it is used for research in the North thanks to the numerous sophisticated oceanographic equipment adapted to the extremely cold climate. The ship belongs to the Canadian Coast Guard while the scientific missions and oceanographic equipment are managed by Amundsen Science.
