EXPEDITIONS

Québec-Océan members are involved in numerous research expeditions. Sampling is often conducted in the Arctic Ocean, the Labrador Sea, and the estuary and Gulf of St-Lawrence, including the Saguenay Fjord and Lac Saint-Jean, as well as the Pacific Ocean. Expeditions elsewhere in the world are less frequent, but just as interesting.

Missions are carried out using infrastructures such as the NGCC Amundsen, the Coriolis II, the Boréalis and other rented vessels, or from small boats, helicopters or even on foot along the shore.
