The St. Lawrence River out of breath

Did you know that the deep waters of St. Lawrence are becoming increasingly depleted? Our members Al Mucci (McGill), Gwenaelle Chaillou (UQAR-ISMER), and Mathilde Jutras (McGill), are working on the causes and consequences of hypoxia (low oxygen levels) in the deep waters of the St. Lawrence Estuary and Gulf. In an article in the Conversation, they explain the history and causes of this drastic decrease in dissolved oxygen.
