Arctic kelp, a key component of the marine ecosystem

Did you know that Arctic kelp is an extremely important habitat for the entire marine ecosystem?  Camille Lavoie, a doctoral student in Philippe Archambault's laboratory (U. Laval), took part in the sampling recently carried out in Cambridge Bay (Nunavut), with Amanda Savoie's team (Canadian Museum of Nature), to study these key algae of the marine ecosystem.
